Founder & CEO
Rajeev Sharma founded VideoMining on a conviction that the retail industry deserved better than inference — that real answers required real evidence. His pioneering research in computer vision and machine learning at Penn State and the University of Illinois laid the scientific foundation for an entirely new field of shopper science. A graduate of IIT Kharagpur and holder of a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Rajeev has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and holds 76 US patents — the deepest intellectual property portfolio of its kind in the industry. Under his leadership, VideoMining has grown from a research breakthrough into the industry’s most trusted behavioral intelligence platform.
Chris Bossi
CFO
Chris brings more than 35 years of experience across corporate finance, engineering, and software development to his role leading VideoMining’s financial operations. A graduate of Lehigh University in Industrial Engineering and the holder of six patents, Chris has successfully raised more than $48 million in capital over the past decade. His combination of technical depth and financial acumen has been instrumental in building the operational foundation that supports VideoMining’s continued growth.
James Brennan
SVP, Shopper Insights & Activation
James leads VideoMining’s market research and shopper science analytics practice, bringing 13 years of deep engagement with the company’s clients and methodologies to every project. He holds a BS from The College of New Jersey, an MBA from Penn State’s Smeal College of Business, and a JD from Quinnipiac University Law School. James is one of the industry’s most respected voices on shopper behavioral science and its application to real business decisions.
Alicia Cleary
VP, Marketing & Industry Relations
Alicia leads VideoMining’s marketing and commercial strategy, drawing on CPG brand and category experience from roles at AB-InBev and Nestlé. She holds a BS in Marketing and Philosophy from Fairfield University and an MBA from Saint Louis University. Alicia is focused on commercializing VideoMining’s behavioral intelligence in ways that resonate with industry leaders — translating the power of Shopper Truth into thought leadership, market presence, and strategic engagement across the CPG and retail landscape.
Richard Hirata
SVP, Shopper Science
Richard leads VideoMining’s shopper science practice, bringing decades of experience from the front lines of data science and market research. A graduate of Lawrence University and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, Richard honed his expertise at Nielsen before joining VideoMining nearly a decade ago. His command of category management, research methodology, and shopper insights makes him an essential bridge between VideoMining’s behavioral intelligence platform and the business decisions it’s built to inform.
Nakul Nayak

Nakul leads VideoMining’s engineering and data services organization, overseeing the product development, data infrastructure, and technical capabilities that power BehaviorSync™. A graduate of Rutgers University with a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Nakul has spent more than 13 years building the systems and architecture that make VideoMining’s behavioral intelligence platform precise, scalable, and reliable at the scope the industry demands.

Umesh Sharma
VP and Chief AI Officer
Umesh leads AI strategy and product innovation at VideoMining, overseeing the intelligent systems that transform observed shopper behavior into precise, scalable business intelligence. With more than 30 years of experience across AI/ML, cloud architecture, and enterprise-scale software platforms, he brings the technical depth that turns behavioral science ambitions into working systems. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science and completed Ph.D.-level research, both with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence.
Richard Poye
Head of Retail Strategy & Engagement
Richard Poye brings decades of executive leadership across convenience and grocery retail, CPG, and hospitality to his role leading VideoMining’s retail strategy and engagement. His career spans senior roles at RaceTrac, MAPCO, Circle K, H-E-B, and Unilever — giving him a practitioner’s command of the decisions retailers face every day. At VideoMining, Richard works directly with retail partners to translate behavioral shopper insights into clear strategic direction and practical action across merchandising, store design, front-end optimization, and category strategy.
