Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Founder & CEO, has led the evolution of VideoMining from a technology startup to a successful industry leader for shopper marketing intelligence. Dr. Sharma is recognized as a pioneer in automated human behavior analysis and its application to market research. Dr. Sharma is a frequent speaker at industry events and a thought leader on shopper marketing research. Prior to founding the company, Dr. Sharma was a tenured faculty at The Pennsylvania State University and a research faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has a Bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and a PhD from the University of Maryland at College Park.
David Haubert, VP of Business Development, joined VideoMining from the Marketing Strategies team at Safeway where he served as Director, Manufacturer Collaboration for three years. While at Safeway, Mr. Haubert provided direction, structure, strategic vision and oversight for the retailer’s vendor partnership program, manufacturer-initiated in-store testing program and manufacturer use of loyalty shopper card data. Prior to Safeway, Mr. Haubert held positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of brand management, category sales development and category management with Nestle, Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream and PepsiCo. Mr. Haubert resides in the Northern California Bay Area city of Dublin where he and his wife of 20 years raise three children. A leader in his community, Mr. Haubert has been a Trustee of Unified School District in Dublin, California for eight years and served as President of the Board for the past two years. Mr. Haubert has an MBA from UCLA and a BS in Finance from California State University, Northridge.
Ms. Priya Baboo, EVP Shopper Insights & Strategy, is responsible for the overall management, direction, and development of the shopper insights practice area and client service account groups. She is an experienced marketing research professional, and for over 10 years has conducted a wide variety of research and development of actionable insights for the consumer packaged goods industry. Ms. Baboo is a regular speaker at several leading trade conferences, including Shopper Insights in Action. She has an M.S. in Marketing and Supply Chain Management from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Madras in India. Ms. Baboo is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the National Honor Society in Business and Management.
Mr. George Musi, VP Shopper Insights & Strategy, brings to the company over 14 years of experience as a high-level strategic partner, trusted business advisor, and vital contributor to the overall success of various companies. Mr. Musi has provided marketing research, consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and decision-support information services to businesses (from start-ups to Fortune 500’s) in the FMCG & CPG, Retail, Financial Services, Telecomm, IT, Internet, Pharma/Healthcare, Travel/Leisure, and Hospitality markets, both domestically and internationally. His wealth of experience in the intricacies of research methodologies enables him to leverage existing and new/innovative approaches to deliver objective, value-added, and actionable insights that empower companies to make more informed and effective business decisions to achieve superior results.
Mr. Jeff Hershey, VP Shopper Insights & Strategy, brings 12 years of diverse experience to VideoMining. Jeff served as VP Business Development and Marketing for VideoMining from 2004-2007, and rejoined the team in 2010 to contribute to the company’s continuing rapid growth. His background includes extensive experience in strategy, shopper insights, business development and product management. Jeff has served in key roles for a variety of organizations – ranging from a Fortune 100 to several early-stage technology companies. Jeff graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Marketing and Business Administration and enjoys photography, biking and tennis in his free time.
Mr. Tim Dougherty, Director of Shopper Insights & Strategy, is responsible for executing projects, providing analysis, and managing client relationships. Working collaboratively on strategy and research initiatives, he assists partners in further understand and expanding their business. He has worked for CPG's and retailers such as NBC Universal/GE, Warner Brothers, and TARGET Corp. in account and category management roles. Mr. Dougherty has a B.A. in Geography specializing in spatial and social research from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Hamline University.
Ms. Yao Wang, Director of Shopper Insights & Strategy, has a strong background in brand management as well as retail marketing management. Prior to joining VideoMining, Ms. Wang worked with MARS for several years to launch and grow the SNICKERS brand in China, and worked with Sears to manage storewide marketing campaigns. Ms. Wang has a Bachelor of Economics from Peking University, Beijing, China and an MBA from The Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Varij Saurabh, Director of Analytics, has an extensive background in data analytics and business intelligence applications. Mr. Saurabh has more than five years of industry experience and has played a key role in developing next generation analytical framework for technology-enabled shopper insights. Prior to joining VideoMining, Mr. Saurabh worked with major companies like Starbucks and General Electric, where he helped them build IT strategies to achieve business goals and also managed enterprise software applications. Mr. Saurabh has a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India and an MBA from The Pennsylvania State University, and is a member of Mensa International.
Mr. Satish Mummareddy, EVP of Engineering, is responsible for delivering VideoMining's unique shopper insights to customers through a suite of products and services. He leads the development of the core video analytics technology, distributed video processing platform, and customer facing web applications. He has led R&D efforts funded by various federal agencies such as NSF, DARPA and NIST. Mr. Mummareddy joined VideoMining in 2002 as a research engineer, has assumed leadership responsibilities in various progressive roles, and is the co-inventor of a number of patents. Mr. Mummareddy has an M.S. from The Pennsylvania State University.
Ms. Mary Lynn Carroll, VP Corporate Affairs, is responsible for all aspects of the corporate infrastructure, including accounting, human resources, and contracts, and plays an active role in strategic planning for company growth. She brings to the company a wide range of experience in project-based businesses, both in government and commercial retail markets. Ms. Carroll has successfully developed and implemented processes to gain efficiencies leading to bottom line profits. During her 17-year career, she has served as a liaison between company and independent auditors, government auditors, and financial institutions. Ms Carroll has a B.S. in Accounting from St. Francis University.
Mr. Namsoon Jung, VP Innovation and Research, is responsible for developing and implementing IP protection strategies for VideoMining Corporation. He is also responsible for managing the invention disclosures and improving internal processes related to IP management. Mr. Jung has an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
